Urgent SEC 151A Update
Dear Valued Insurance Professional:
As you should be aware, InsurMark is doing everything it can to fight the adoption of SEC Rule 151a that would turn Fixed Index Annuities into registered security products. If this rule would go into effect as scheduled, it would severely affect the livelihood of thousands of people across this nation as well as hurt the many individuals that plan on utilizing the products for their retirement planning.
InsurMark continues to work on your behalf for the sake of our livelihoods and the needs of our collective clients. That’s why I will be participating in the “Fly-In for FIAs” in Washington D.C. with NAFA on Wednesday, July 29. We will be meeting with lawmakers just before the August recess to keep the momentum through the summer.
A Very Simple Way You Can Make a Huge Difference
There is nothing that gets a politician’s attention more than knowing what side their constituents are on an issue. You can help make my trip to the Capitol even more effective by sending me any letters you may have, or can collect, from clients that state how satisfied they are with the products you’ve sold them. You can also gather letters from your colleagues and clients to speak out against SEC 151a. I’ll personally deliver your letters to lawmakers in Washington D.C. to show our support for Fixed Indexed Annuities. This will help us get the word out about the overwhelming support for the Indexed Annuites and Insurance Products Classification Act of 2009. This bill, which has now been introduced in the Congress and the Senate, can defeat SEC 151a with your support.
Please send your letters to me by 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 27. You can find recommended communication pieces at www.sec151a.com. Please prepare them and send them to insurmark@insurmark.net or fax them to 713.973.5252, or upload them when you Click Here.
We truly appreciate your business and we wish you the very best in every avenue of your success. I look forward to returning with an encouraging report.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Luby
