Director, Marketing and Communication

JR’s job is to spread the good news about InsurMark’s many programs, services and benefits so that the InsurMark family continues its 30+ year growth. She and her staff host online and in-person events, keep in touch via email and letters, and support our advisors in their marketing efforts.

JR joined InsurMark in 2013, continuing her high-profile career in  marketing circles. She served as president of the American Advertising Federation of Houston, was the first woman recipient of the University of Houston Outstanding Communication Alumni Award, and has numerous creative direction awards to her credit, include Advertising Age magazine’s Top 100 TV Commercials of the Year.

During the past 20 years as a marketing executive, she has created record-breaking campaigns for premier clients like Baker Botts, Shell Oil, Dillard’s, and Weed Eater.  She coached the University of Houston advertising team to a national championship, and taught marketing at both UH and Rice.

JR rides her horse along the Salt Grass Trail Ride each February, covering 110 miles in eight days. She also rode a mule to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back up, adding her name to the less than 1 percent of canyon visitors who have set foot on the bottom.  In fact, her horsemanship skills seem to rival those of another well-known JR from Texas.

Multimedia Designer

Robert brings a strong multi-media background to the InsurMark team.  His goal is to make the many advantages of being an InsurMark advisor clear and impactful through effective design and consistent branding. He has an impressive portfolio of accomplishments in marketing, creative direction, and publishing. His wide range of work in print, digital, and visual arts have earned him recognition and awards for their high standard of quality.

Robert began his design education at the Art Institute of Houston and continues to learn with every passing day—”because design and technology never stand still, and making the InsurMark web site a robust and valuable resource for our advisors is always a top priority.”

Robert’s current passion is studying the technology and principles of visual storytelling in cinema. He writes, directs, and edits narrative short films for various competitions.

Sales and Marketing Coordinator

When it comes to making certain that InsurMark advisors have the very essential carrier literature, forms and applications they need– Scott’s the guy. He inventories our supplies, runs our print shop, and updates commission schedules, keeping us not only prepared to serve you, but also on our toes at all times. Scott graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in multidisciplinary studies and he puts all that discipline to work for us each day. Scott is the “go-to” guy for whatever we whenever we need it. When he’s not busy sorting, delivering and updating, Scott enjoys visiting his family in Canada, where he can indulge in one of his favorite pastimes: snowboarding.
